THE MAIN RING

Make sure you get ringside for some fantastic displays at this years festival. Thanks to the many great local clubs that are going to put on a star studded show! Timetable coming soon...

Speedathon Final

Join Phase Purple Dog Training Club as they host the North East Dog Festival agility finals to see who will be crowned top dog in the North East. Competitors will have qualified at shows throughout the year so the pressure is on to see if they can get it right in-front of the crowds!

Flyball

Eclipse Flyball Club will once again be joining us in the main ring to show the crowds what flyball is all about. Fast, fun and usually very loud! Teams will compete against each other so make sure you choose a side and cheer!

Canicross

Does your dog enjoy running?

Join North East Canicross at the festival and have a go with your own dog (plus watch them strut their stuff in the main ring).

EASBT Display Team

The East Anglian Staffordshire Bull Terrier Display Team love to show off the positive side of our Staffordshire Bull Terriers, a breed that sometimes attracts the wrong sort of attention. Staffords love to learn and to please their owners; ours show off their agility and athleticism, their obedience - sometimes a little bit of disobedience! - their intelligence and also their comical sense of humour. As seen in the main arena at Discover Dogs, Crufts and BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace.

TrainYourDogs

Heather Smith and her team from TrainYourDogs will be wowing the crowds with a display of speed, skill and much more at this years festival.

Wallsend Rising Sun Whippet Racing Club

For the first time at the festival you can see the skill and speed involved in whippet racing! Find out more about this local club...and maybe even have a go with your own dog later in the day!

Hoopers

Hoopers is a relatively new dog sport, which utilises a series of ground-level obstacles called Hoops. Instead of physical dexterity, the challenge of Hoopers is entirely focused on the ability of the handler and the dog to work together as a smooth flowing team. Watch the experts at work and then head over to The Sporting Dog Village to have a go with your own dog.

Gundog Display

Join Emma and her team from Anythings Pawsible to see all breeds and levels of gundog in action. Then give your dog a go on the gundog scurry!
