Borthwick's Boarding joins The North East Dog Festival as GSP Rescue Dog Show Sponsor.

The North East Dog Festival is delighted to announce Borthwick's Boarding as this years sponsor for the GSP Rescue Service Charity Dog Show .

Our charity dog shows are one of the most popular events for festival visitors and this year will be no exception we're sure. There are plenty of prizes up for grabs and gorgeous rosettes thanks to our amazing sponsors.

The festival provides a great platform for these fantastic charities to raise money and spread the word about their wonderful causes. With a full weekend of fun you'll have plenty of classes to choose from.

Megan Borthwick; Director of Borthwick's commented;

I'm really excited for the opportunity to be a sponsor for the GSP charity dog show, although I have worked alongside many dogs over the years gundog breeds are my specialist breed. We have many hpr breeds that come and stay with us and if I didn't have labs and spaniels I think I would love to go for a pointer. The North East Dog Festival is a huge opportunity to keep our business name going and meet clients old and new. We have all ready started to plan many exciting things on our stand along with local businesses. We support many local businesses so it's really nice for us all to come together for this event and for charity.

About GSP Rescue

GSP Rescue has been rescuing, re-homing & rehabilitating German Shorthaired Pointers since 1987. During our 30 years in operation we have given thousands of GSP’s a second chance and we are extremely proud of our successful track record in matching people with GSP’s for a lifetime of love & happiness.

Our aim is to help and advise on the German Shorthaired Pointer breed, re-home and if necessary rescue GSP’s within mainland Britain.

Please contact us if you need help with your GSP, our advice is free even if you are considering the need to give up your GSP. Alternatively you may be wishing to help us and be thinking of adopting a rescue dog. Sadly we do get a high volume of dogs in from a variety of back grounds. Fortunately the breeds versatility makes them suitable for a wide variety of homes. Find out more.

Festival Founders; Rebecca Ashworth Earle and Dawn Oliver Doyle commented; "It's fantastic to be able to support so many charities as part of the festival and having known Megan and her business for some time we were over the moon to have her on board as one of this years sponsors. Pointers hold a close spot next to our heart (after Spaniel's) and we hope plenty of money will be raised by Dawn and her team"

Dog show classes will be announced soon; keep an eye on this page for more information.
