2025 Ambassadors
Meet our 2025 Festival Ambassadors

Laramie
Laramie is a smooth collie - a vulnerable native breed from Scotland. Laramie is an adventurous chap who adores trying new things, and his little brother Hotchner is taking the great big world in his stride! We hope that being ambassadors for NEDF will help raise some awareness and love for this beautiful, and sorely underrated breed of dog! He also has a brother called Hotchner.

Anakin
Anakin is a one year old cocker spaniel who spends his time living out in the moors and learning new tricks. His two favourite things are to perform; whether that’s posing for photoshoots, displaying his trick routines or strutting his stuff in dog shows, and his other favourite thing is cuddles off of any human, at any time! He is a confident, goofy and bubbly boy who loves to try new things and is starting to practice his agility and a few other sports. Anakin is most looking forward to trying all the have a go activities at the show this year, but he will of course be dabbling in the show rings too!

Robbie
Robbie is a handsome six year old RSPCA rescue dog. He was born into the Greyhound Racing Industry in Ireland, he moved over to Newcastle to race, then retired and fell into the wrong hands. Although Greyhounds are perceived as being lazy and not requiring much exercise, Robbie absolutely loves his adventurous long walks all over the North East, if he hasn't been it's probably not worth going. Robbie is also an anxious dog, he is a sensitive soul and prefers his own space. He visited NEDF for the first time last year, we were amazed how friendly and welcoming it was, there was even a stall dedicated to nervous dogs, everyone gave us space and we had a fantastic day! Robbie is thrilled to be an Ambassador, especially to raise awareness for anxious dogs, he wonders if this role will involve extra treatos! X

Freya
I’d like to introduce Freya my 6 year old Hungarian Vizsla and we are so excited to have been selected to be ambassadors for this years NEDF. Freya is your typical vizsla; highly intelligent, full of energy and truly affectionate, she is a proper ‘Velcro dog’. Freya is at her happiest when she’s involved with anything her humans are doing whether that’s a bit of showing, walking or chilling together. I have been coming to the NEDF every year since the very first one at Whitehouse Farm in 2015 with my vizslas. To see how the festival has grown into a dog lovers paradise over the years has been amazing and we can’t wait to see what this year has to offer!

Atlas & Tuk
Atlas is a 3 year old male husky cross who has very typical northern breed traits. He’s stubborn, fussy with food, vocal and loves long walks with lots of sniffs! He won 3rd most handsome dog at his first ever NDEF in 2022 and he is forever winning people over with his smile. Tuk is a 2 year old female siberian husky who enjoys nothing more than tormenting Atlas! She’s such a playful girl and very much a velcro dog who loves her pack. Playing tug and spending time in the water are her idea of a great day!
