Every dog has a story, and every breed has its quirks. That’s why at this year’s North East Dog Festival, we’re so excited to introduce the upgraded Breed Hang Out – now known as Breeds, Bants & Brains!
This new space is dedicated to everything we love about dogs: discovering what makes different breeds tick, sharing knowledge, and having a whole lot of fun along the way. Whether you’re a first-time dog owner, a lifelong breed enthusiast, or just curious about the wide world of dogs, this is the place for you.
🧬 Dive Into Breed Insights
Ever wondered why Border Collies never seem to stop moving? Or why Greyhounds love a quick sprint and then the world’s longest nap? In Breeds, Bants & Brains, you’ll get the chance to explore the unique histories, traits, and behaviours of a variety of breeds. It’s a chance to go beyond the surface and really understand what makes your dog (or your dream breed) so special.
🎓 Learn From The Experts
The space will be hosted by professional dog behaviourist's Nathan and Louisa Squires from The Dog Log, who bring a wealth of experience in canine behaviour. Expect practical advice, expert insights, and thoughtful guidance tailored to specific breeds.
🎉 Fun, Interactive and Full of Banter
It’s not all serious, though—this space is designed to be interactive, lighthearted, and inclusive. Test your knowledge with quick-fire breed quizzes, join in with audience chats, and share your own breed stories (the funny ones are always the best!).
