I like that Colony Flow doesn't punish you for being slow. You just have to be smart about when you use each block. The Connected Boxes really force you to think a couple steps ahead. I've been playing it during my commute and it's the perfect pocket puzzle.
I heard about Game Is Hard from a podcast about design, where they talked about how it subverts user expectations. Downloaded it out of curiosity. Now I’m the one telling others about how I once had to mute my phone volume to ‘quiet the noise’ in a puzzle.
My cousin wouldn’t shut up about Pixel Flow so I downloaded it just to prove him wrong. Three hours later I’m sitting there muttering about why my green pig got stuck in the waiting area because I tapped too early. The queue management thing is surprisingly stressful for a game about cute pigs shooting blocks.
