That's a wrap!

That's the festival done for another year and what a festival it was!

Thank you to each and every visitor that came along and to all of our team, sponsors and supporters. Thousands of you turned a quiet corner of Northumberland into a haven for any dog lover.

As a team we wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone; so here goes!

a huge thanks to....

Katie and her team at Scentventure, a fabulous dog training partnership that enabled us to provide access to free online training challenges for our followers but also a whole host of festival benefits. The Scentventure have a go area was busy all weekend and plenty of dogs walked away with a special Doggy Diploma.

Our dog shows sponsors; Thanks to Chris and the team at Doggy Days Creche and Dog Grooming for sponsoring the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter Dog Show. Trevor and his team from Hearts to Heaven Pet Crematorium for sponsoring Roo's Journey Dog Show. Their support meant we could provide the space to the charities completely free of charge - and over 300 rosettes for the weekend.

Alnorthumbria Veterinary Group for their sponsorship of the Wellness Tipi. It was easy to spot and never empty! Welcoming speakers new and returning. It's fantastic to be able to have this for visitors and give them free access to a wealth of knowledge.

This years charity dog shows; the team from Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter smiled all weekend and raised a staggering £2739.20 whilst Roo's Journey welcomed hundreds of fantastic dogs raising £1017.49.

As a festival we support charities by providing free dog show space and reduced trade stand pitches. Our charity traders also did well over the weekend, with the DMT Dachshund Support Group raising £2041.15.

Our have a go activities, without which the festival just wouldn't be as fun! We are very lucky to have such fantastic clubs and trainers here in the North East and many saw hundreds of dogs give their sport a go. Thousands of dogs had a go at lots of different things over the weekend with many raising £100's of pounds for charity.

Thanks to our traders; we've had so many wonderful emails, many loved the new layout, and most of our foodies had sold out by close of festival both days. We strive every year to give our traders the best possible experience and its been fantastic to get such wonderful feedback.

and most of all...thank you to our wonderful festival team. This event absolutely wouldn't run without the help of families, friends and those who have spent hours in fields plotting, moving and setting up (and then clearing away). The behind the scenes administration, packing, sorting and generally keeping us all on track. This year was by far the biggest festival and also the hardest with plotting a new field and introducing new activities. The sun shone and the dogs had a ball, which is all we ever want.

You can still download our 2023 show guide - it's ideal for finding any trade stands, clubs, or if you just need to jog your memory.
